Lunch Spots for SF Professionals

I was walking Union Square and it started to rain. My prospects were bleak and I then noticed this restaurant sitting on the side of Neiman. I have walked by here many times but the sun is always glaring so I have never really been able to look inside with such clarity. It had a good feeling to it so I went right in and I was glad I did.

I decided on the Asian Chicken Salad. And even though it had those fried wonton skins..which I love to eat but is on my list to avoid, I order this one… It was a $12.50 pricetag which was less than the good looking Crab salad that my neighbor was just about to stick a fork into. I like this place, the waiter and receptionist were very friendly, not any kind of Neiman Snobbery that some of you may have experienced. The salad was fresh, tasty, it had a healthy dressing and was a fair portion. It wasn’t the fu-fu tiny but it was a large amount either..so I couldn’t complain…but I had to have my Peets coffee before I was 100% satidfied… It is kind of like my desert. ANyway, if you can find something on the menu you like and if the price tag doesn’t scare you away, this is a pleasant little restaurant that served me quickly with friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least… If you don’t feel like being bothered by busy menus or busy crowds…this is a “rest” aurant for you to relax during your lunch or shopping break.You should note that the best way to enter is not on Stockton but on the ground floor entrance of Geary..it is right inside the window. Enjoy ! (PS-The salad looked better than the photo suggests. I forgot my camera today and had to take that with my phone !)

The waitpersons were all very polite here… not sure about all of their customers though…Hard to explain… you might have to see this full video…Vous ne parlez pas français ? ..then don’t mind the French…just check out the subtitles…
